• Welcome to my freighter canoe trip around the Big Lake. I’ve lived in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada since 1980. I like travelling by myself. I’ve travelled solo by dog team on Hudson’s Bay. I’ve hiked solo along the Canol Trail in the Mackenzie and Richardson Mountains. For a decade I’ve been talking about a trip by freighter canoe around Great Slave Lake, the 5th biggest lake in North America. Now I’m on my way.
